Iron Condor kicks off new turf season
Tuesday, April 3, 2012
IRON CONDOR runs in a 12 furlong handicap at Folkestone on Thursday and he will be the first runner of the new flat turf season. James is delighted with his condition, he now looks a fully mature horse. He has deliberately not been over raced and hopefully the patience shown by the owner will be rewarded this season. Folkestone may not be the ideal track as he is a big long striding horse but it looks a suitable race for him. There are only 7 runners and he has top weight but that will not be a problem. It is his first run after a break so he will come on for the run but he should be fit enough to run well in a race of this type. Everyone else is crying out for rain but IRON CONDOR would not want too much rain at Folkestone as he is a top of the ground horse. Hopefully the ground will remain good or good to firm which will give him a chance of getting the turf season off to a good start.
