It is great news that WAR ARTIST has been invited to run in the Hong Kong International Sprint at Sha Tin on December 13th. As part of his preparation he will be working before racing at Kempton tomorrow. The horse seems in great form so far so let's hope he can continue that way until he makes the big journey. James Eustace is hoping that Oliver Peslier will be able to take the ride in Hong Kong as he has struck up a good rapport with the horse.
On Thursday at Kempton, TIGER STAR, a half brother to Orcadian by Tiger Hill, makes his racecourse debut in a 7 furlong maiden. The race has been divided and he has been drawn 2 of the 10 runners. He will be wearing blinkers for his first run which is slightly unusual but they are a quirky family and he is much better at home in them than without them. He has definitely got ability but may find 7 a bit on the sharp side for him. Unfortunately there were no suitable mile maidens on this track for him. He will be a nice horse for next year and may have another run this year depending on how he runs on Thursday.
