GENEVA GEYSER is stepping up in trip at Redcar tomorrow, he runs over 10 furlongs for the first time. James Eustace hopes this will suit him together with the track. He ran well at Warwick last time but didn't handle the bends. Redcar has a much longer straight and he is well drawn in 1 so he can hopefully get a good position on the rail. The ground will be fast but he seemed to handle similar conditions at Warwick. He disappointed at Newcastle before that but the ground that day didn't suit him. The blinkers have been left off as they didn't appear to help last time and he could run a bit free in them over this longer trip. He is a horse with ability and hopefully he can show that tomorrow.
On Tuesday GENERAL ZHUKOV runs in a 10 furlong handicap at Leicester. He too should appreciate this step up in trip. He got left at the start at Windsor so under the circumstances ran well over a mile. Ideally he would like a bit of rain, there is some forecast. He is fit and well and can hopefully run a big race.
