We send a strong hand to Kempton tomorrow evening with 3 runners, 2 of which are course and distance winners there. REASONED kicks off proceedings in the mile apprentice handicap and will be ridden by one of Richard Hannon's apprentices, Luke Catton, who claims a valuable 5 pounds in this race. REASONED has done nothing wrong in her 3 runs to date and this will be her first run in a handicap and she is also stepping up in trip for the first time. Although her dam was a 6 furlong winner she has plenty of stamina in the pedigree so is entitled to stay further. She is a very straightforward and genuine filly who should be a good ride for an apprentice. If she improves for this step up in trip then she should run a big race tomorrow.
Blue Peter Racing run both their horses, DIRECTORY and COVERHAM, and they know the Kempton winners enclosure well having visited it 5 times with these 2 horses last year alone. DIRECTORY is fresh from an emphatic win at Southwell recently. It does mean he will be running off a career high mark tomorrow but he is in good form so must go there with a good chance.
COVERHAM is arguably at his best at Kempton, the surface and the long straight seem to suit him well. He is running off a pound higher than his highest winning handicap mark but he should be thereabouts once again.
There will be plenty of Blue Peter Racing owners there to cheer them both home so lets hope they will be revisiting the Kempton winners enclosure once again.
